What it is

Manna was started in Chennai in 2000 by I.S.A.K. Nazar, and its maker, Southern Health Foods, was acquired by Reliance Consumer Products in February 2026. This pack is Manna's Classic Masala oats: wholegrain oats blended with quinoa, foxtail millet, jowar and barley, seasoned with Indian spices.

It cooks into a savoury, loose bowl, closer to a soft upma than to sweet porridge, with the masala coming through in every spoon. It is ready in about three minutes. Choosing a quick breakfast? These masala oats on a rushed weekday; Manna Barnyard Millet for a proper kuthiraivali pongal at the weekend; 777 Ragi Vermicelli when you have ten minutes for semiya upma.

Tip: Stir in a spoon of tomato thokku just before eating. It tastes closer to thakkali upma than anything from a sachet.
