What it is

Adyar Ananda Bhavan was founded by K.S. Thirupathi Raja, who started out making sweets in Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu. The brand takes its name from its outlet in Adyar, Chennai.

Kai murukku is not pressed through a mould. The dough is twisted by hand into rows of rings, a skill that takes years to get even, and then fried. That gives thicker, knobbly coils with a deep, hard crunch, and no two rings come out quite the same. Choosing between A2B murukku?
