Udhaiyam is made by Udhaiyams Agro Foods Pvt Ltd, based in Thiruvotriyur, Chennai, which says the Udhaiyam name has been in the market for 85 years. This is their rava, already roasted, so the dry-pan step is done before it reaches you.

Roasted rava stays grainy in upma instead of turning to paste, and it goes straight into rava dosai, kesari and rava idli with no extra step. Choosing between ravas?
