What it is

Sweet Karam Coffee began in Chennai in 2015, set up by Nalini Parthiban and Anand Bharadwaj around the recipes of Janaki Paati. Poondu murukku is the garlic version of the everyday rice-flour murukku, pressed into short straight sticks instead of spirals.

The sticks are thin and snappy, with the garlic coming through strongly and sesame in the dough. This is the small 30 g packet, enough for one person and one cup of tea.
