What it is

Sunrise is Nescafé's instant coffee-chicory mix, made by Nestlé India. It blends Arabica and Robusta beans sourced from coffee farms in South India.

The chicory gives it the fuller, slightly bitter body of a South Indian house coffee, so it holds up well with plenty of hot milk and sugar. It is the jar for weekday mornings, when there is no time to wait for the decoction to drip. Choosing between coffees? Sunrise for a milky cup in a minute, filter coffee powder when there is time for the filter, ready decoction for somewhere in between.

Tip: Stir the powder to a paste with a few drops of hot water first. Tipped straight into milk, it floats in lumps.
