What it is
Sohum products are made by Sohum Udyog in Khed Shivapur, near Pune, a company founded by the late Smt. Sushila Gargate, and known for chakki-fresh atta and traditional Maharashtrian foods.
Methi ladoo is a Maharashtrian winter sweet, made at home when the cold sets in. Fenugreek, wheat flour and edible gum are bound with jaggery and ghee, with dry ginger and nuts. It is dense and properly bitter under the sweetness, and people who grew up with it love exactly that. Choosing between Sohum ladoos? Methi for bitter-sweet; gond for rich and chewy; ragi nachani for a milder, earthier bite.
Tip: Eat it with a cup of hot chai. The tea softens the bitterness.
Goes well with: Sohum Gond Dink Ladoo, Sohum Ragi Nachani Ladoo, Tata Tea Chakra Gold
