What it is
Manna was started in Chennai in 2000 by I.S.A.K. Nazar, and its first product was a sathumaavu mix. Its maker, Southern Health Foods, was acquired by Reliance Consumer Products in February 2026. This atta blends millets into wheat flour for everyday chapati.
The dough is denser than plain atta and takes more water, and the rotis come out a shade darker, nutty and slightly grainy. Roll them a little thicker than usual. Choosing between attas? This 1 kg bag to try the taste; Manna Multimillet Atta in the 5 kg bag for daily roti; Aashirvaad Chakki Atta for plain wheat.
Tip: Keep the kneaded dough under a damp cloth. Millet dough dries at the edges faster than wheat.
Goes well with: Heera Moong Dal Washed, Amul Ghee, 777 Mixed Pickle
