What it is

Gopuram was started in Chennai in 1945 by Sri Y. V. Seshachalam, and is best known for its kumkum, alongside turmeric, vibuthi, sandal and sambrani. This pack holds 365 wicks, one for each day of the year.

Each one is ready to go straight into the vilakku with oil or ghee, so there is no rolling or cutting at lamp time. It is the easiest way to keep the daily lamp going without running out.
