What it is

Pooja ends with the karpoora aarti: camphor lit in a small holder and circled in front of the deity while the bell rings. The plate is then carried round so everyone can pass their hands over the flame.

This brass holder has a handle, so you can circle it without the heat reaching your fingers, and a small cup that takes one or two camphor tablets. Let it cool completely before cleaning.
