What it is

Aashirvaad is owned by ITC Limited and was launched in 2002. The atta packs are known for their Madhubani-style art showing rural farming scenes.

Chakki atta is whole wheat milled the chakki way, so it has the slightly coarse feel that makes soft chapatis and phulkas that puff. The dough is soft and easy to roll, and it holds together for thin phulkas. The ten-kilo bag is for homes where rotis are made every day. Choosing between atta? Chakki atta for everyday chapati; multigrain for a denser roti; maida for parotta and bhatura.

Tip: Knead with warm water and rest the dough for twenty minutes. The chapatis roll thinner and stay softer.
