What it is

Nizam Pakku was established in 1975 by Mr. A. R. Safiullah, and it is made by S. A. Safiullah & Co. in Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu. Pakku is areca nut, the nut that sits beside vethalai on every thamboolam plate.

At a wedding, a seemantham or a Navaratri visit, guests leave with a thamboolam: vethalai, pakku, a banana, manjal and kumkum, sometimes a coconut or a blouse piece. This pack has five pieces, enough for a small function or the pooja plate at home. Choosing between pakku?
