The biscuit is short and buttery with candied tutti frutti set through it, so the red and green pieces turn up in most bites and chew softly against the crumb. Choosing between the Karachi biscuits? Fruit for the tutti frutti, almond for the nut, jeera rusk when you want something to dunk.

Tip: Carry them flat with kitchen paper between the layers. They break along the fruit, not across the biscuit.
