Bournvita was first developed in England in the late 1920s, and it has been sold in India since 1948, when Cadbury India was set up. It is still a Cadbury brand, owned today by Mondelez International.

It is malt and cocoa together, so a Bournvita glass tastes more chocolatey than plain malt, with a toasty edge and a thicker feel in the milk.
